Best Practices to Prevent the Coronavirus from Spreading

Surely, you’ve heard all about the Coronavirus by now. Governors across the country are mandating closures of businesses to limit the spread as much as possible. This is quite a unique experience that many have never seen before. The best path forward is to follow all the instructions from the CDC and local government. Keep in mind that they are working for us and with us to help life go back to normal as quickly as possible. Converting to Solar? Here's What You Need

As power bills continue to rise in households, more and more homeowners are thinking about converting their homes to solar energy. As a matter of fact, in some parts of the United States, residents are paying between $400 and $900 per month for their utility bill. That is a lot of money! So if you are considering solar, what do you need to get started? The solar panels themselves are perhaps the most well-known of all the system components, since they're the most visible part of the package, often perched atop homes and businesses roofs. Solar panels are also considered the life blood of a solar power system, because solar panels actually capture the sun's radiation, thereby initiating the entire process of converting sunlight into an electrical current. The job of solar panels is to essentially create the electrical current. Solar power systems would be worthless without solar inverters. The way they work is, once radiant sunlight is converted into electricity, sol...

Plasma Cutter 101

Dragon Plasma Cutter Plasma cutting is the process of cutting through electrically conductive, like steel, with an accelerated jet of ho t plasma. The basic plasma cutting process involves creating an electrical channel of superheated, electrically ionized gas through the work piece to be cut, thus forming a completed electric circuit back to the plasma cutter through a grounding clamp. This is accomplished by a  compressed gas  (oxygen, air, and others depending on material being cut) which is blown through a focused nozzle at high speed toward the work piece. An  electrical arc  is then formed within the gas, between an electrode near or integrated into the gas nozzle and the work piece itself. The electrical arc ionizes some of the gas, thereby creating an electrically conductive channel of plasma. As electricity from the cutter torch travels down this plasma it delivers sufficient heat to melt through the work piece. At the same tim...
