Surely, you’ve heard all about the Coronavirus by now. The Center for Disease Control and Prevention (CDC) is continuously releasing updated information a far as what the best practices are to keep the virus from spreading. Governors across the country are mandating closures of businesses to limit the spread as much as possible. This is quite a unique experience that many have never seen before. The best path forward is to follow all the instructions from the CDC and local government. Keep in mind that they are working for us and with us to help life go back to normal as quickly as possible. In this blog, we’re going to highlight the most up-to-date tips for combatting this virus:
Social Distancing. The CDC recommends that everyone social distance. This means to avoid congregating in large groups. The size of group has changed multiple times, and currently it’s considered unacceptable to meet in a room with a group of 10 or more people. Therefore, many who can are working from home. We would agree and recommend that if you and your team are able, that you work from home.
If You’re Sick, Stay Home. If you are sick, you need to self-quarantine and only leave the house for medical treatments. Make sure to call your doctor before heading to the office or the hospital. You want to know that your doctor is available and can see you. Also, he or she could have advice that you can try at home before visiting.
Eliminate Unnecessary Travel. If you have a trip planned for spring break, that would be considered unnecessary. While traveling is fun, and we all love it, what’s most important right now is everyone’s health. If we all decide to follow the CDC’s instructions and stay home (if possible depending upon work situations), we can flatten the curve as they say.
Wash Your Hands. The CDC explains that you must wash your hands with soap and water for a minimum of 20 seconds. Make sure you wash thoroughly, every finger and underneath your fingernails. Also, you can use hand sanitizer that contains 60% alcohol, and be sure that you cover all areas of your hands.
